Anyone who lives in Ontario knows, the best places to take photos is either up north in more natural settings, or in the heart of Toronto. Toronto has many great photography spots all around the city. A little walking around, and you’ll have lots of photos snapped. However, what about the spots no one thinks to look? I lived in Vaughan, so I often took trips to the city and have familiarized myself with some hidden or neglected photography spots.
If you’re looking to visit a location that’s not a hot-spot for tourists, Ancona, Italy is the place to go. Although it is not on many “to go” lists like Venice, the city still has a lot of the European culture integrated into it. There is the option of visiting wineries, vineyards, or just visiting town to see what the locals are up to. But the main place to look out for is the Frasassi Caves.
A trip to the Arizona Grand Canyon is great to plan if you’re looking for breathtaking views and a dose of the past. The Canyon itself is a history book, showing layer by layer how long ago it has existed. Even the Vishnu Basement Rock layer has been around for 1840-1680 million years. The colorado river had even once filled the many crevices 5-6 millions years ago and at one point, people of the past called this place home. Luckily now, it is safe for us to visit and take a look at the past. If you’re limited on time, […]
The Great Salt Lake is an important part of what Salt Lake City is known for. The salt density is so high, if you lay on your back in the water, you will just float. The Great Salt Lake is also known for having a beach, camping, and picnic areas. The media isn’t wrong, it has all those things, but it has more that may make you second guess whether or not you want to book a vacation to visit it.
When you think of influencers and Instagrammers, the first thing you think of is California or LA. It’s typically the place where many successful entrepreneurs live and post on their social media. I took a trip to Los Angeles to see if it really matched up to the pictures and lifestyle portrayed online. Here’s where I visited to simulate a typical Instagram day in LA.
Travelling is fun, everyone loves it. However, there are certain situations that can arise that you never considered- even the minor things! I travelled for nearly a whole month straight to different places and only brought a carry on. The space was limited, but it fit the travel essentials I needed and used during the trip. So here’s a list of things I carry and have learned to bring next time I go pack to travel.
Travel isn’t cheap, and travelling for long periods just adds to the cost. To minimize the fees, we decided to visit Rome, Italy for only two days to see everything we wanted to see. Granted, if you stayed longer, you could fully immerse yourself more with the culture, food, and history, but 2 days is more than enough to explore major tourist and notable points. Here’s our 2 day Rome Itinerary that covers most major attractions.
We all know I enjoy playing games. When I really like a game and enjoy the aesthetics of it, I can’t help but craft things in real life inspired by in game graphics. If I really love what’s on my screen and it makes me happy to log in, I want to translate that happiness to real life in any way I can. Following up from my Warframe Kubrodon and Vindictus Gnoll plushies, I decided to finally release the patterns for my Warframe Bolarola floof plushie. Some links in this post may contain affiliate links. With no additional cost to […]
Vindictus (마비노기 영웅전) is a Korean f2p MMO that I’ll never forget, because it’s the game that Daniel and I met in. If the game never existed, we wouldn’t happily be married today! It’s also the place where I met many amazing friends who are are still friends to this day (5 years later), even after playing different games. To one of my special friends, I decided to make his beloved snow white gnoll ‘Pancake’, which is also a favourite of another friend’s. The Vindictus gnoll when I played about 3 years ago, had 3 varieties: white, black, and red. […]
Santorini, Greece is an island that we’ve all seen plastered on social media. We instantly recognize the blue building tops with the clean, white architecture and sunny weather. From an outsider’s view, it looks like a beautiful vacation get away spot that you’ll remember forever. However, if you’re planning on visiting, do know that it’s not as jolly as everyone makes it look online.
Split, Croatia is a hot spot for tourists looking for beautiful crystal clear waters, sunny weather, and delicious local food. Sometimes, it can get overwhelming for a first-timer to see so many foreigners in one location. Especially around the docks where cruise ships like mine let passengers off, it can get pretty hectic. So here’s how you can get the best view in Split, Croatia from above without being pushed around or brushing against other sweaty tourists.
Venice is a beautiful city that is on many peoples’ ‘must visit’ or bucket lists. There are plenty of beautiful pastel buildings, gondolas, water canals, cultural treats, and history in that tiny location. Daniel and I visited recently for the first time, and we compiled a list of things you should know and expect before booking and visiting Venice based on our own personal experiences.
Texas Tech University is not only home to the Matador, but also a central location in Lubbock full of majestic and classy looking buildings. I’ve been living in an Apartment right beside Texas Tech for a few years now, so I know all the best and secret spots you’d never think to look on campus for the best photos.
Traveling is fun, but sometimes it will get pricey if you start going to a lot of museums, exhibitions, or pay-to-enter locations. We had quite the long vacation planned with lots of traveling, so looking for free things to do while still enjoying and absorbing the history and culture of Venice was necessary.
One of my recent favourite games to play with Daniel is Warframe. I’m not usually into sci-fi looking games, but the variety of gameplay and literally endless content was what got me hooked. They then released Fortuna, their second ‘open world’, and out came the floofs! I instantly fell in love with the Kubrodon floof and decided I had to have one in real life, so I DIY-ed it.
